Gallery Hacked!!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — penguinwise @ 9:49 am

\Sarcasm on - I can’t believe it,,, I ignore my site for 6 months and don’t do any software upgrades and my gallery gets hacked and mass spammed. I can hardly believe it. \Sarcasm off - Seriously though… This is why doing regular updates is a good thing, It gets me to keep any eye on things. Unfortunately I had to dump out all of the comments section that was in my gallery. There was something obscene like 35000 comments, all Spam and Porn related that were inserted. It was easier to just delete them all then to even remotely try and sort through them. Oh well, I am just glad it is cleaned up. I promise that if I have time this weekend, I am going to do a mass update on my picture gallery.  Rest assured though, I have updated the software and you will not be bombarded with porno links when you go into it. I know this will be a disappointment to some, but a relief to the masses. Doing this update  is not going to be easy considering the new Harry Potter book is released tonight at midnight, and I am complete geek that will read it cover to cover by Sunday afternoon.

Biggest News EVER from ME!!

Filed under: Uncategorized — penguinwise @ 3:55 pm

Some people know, some don’t but two weeks ago Chrissy and I got engaged. It was a beautiful Fall afternoon up in the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon close to Wellsboro PA.  I promise to finish this story tomorrow :)

Japan bans North Korean imports. Tonight, millions of Japanese children will go without their bark and dirt soup. Oh the hugemanatee.

North Korea’s leadership must be flat out stupid.. This recent nuclear detonation, and now taunting of the US with the whole provoke the situation we start throwing nukes,, Is just plain crap. I hope at some point the North Korean army wises up to what there leader is doing and pulls a coup d’état on crazy Kim Jong. 1 bullet is all it would pretty much take for a major power shift in North Korea. I think similar things need to happen in Iran and Venuzuela for additional regiment changes to come about. I am not trying to say that the United States runs things the best way that is possible, but frankly the leaders of those nations need some serious psychological counceling.

Geez I went all political way too early in the morning.

One helluva Weekend Part 2 — The Sunday Story

Filed under: Uncategorized — penguinwise @ 2:33 pm

Sunday was no-where near as memorable as Saturday. We all did not want to wake up, but we had Phillies/Braves Tickets for 1:30. The Bad part about this was they needed to be printed off the computer. Even as geeky as I may be, I never ever seem to have a working printer. So needless to say, I waited till about 10 minutes before we were supposed to leave to go out to try and print the tickets. The printer that was hooked up must have taken a crap sometime in the past couple weeks cause I could not even detect it with the computer, nor would its power stay on. My Second printer on the stack has a bad power cable.. Always smells like something is burning with it plugged in,, and even then it will not work. Final is a really old Lexmark Z11, that fortunately both worked, and I had a black in cartidge for. So its now working,, about 20 minutes after I wanted to be on the road. The tickets are now printed and I am trying to get directions to the stadium. I had been there before,, once , a year ago, but I still wanted directions to be sure. Now, for some reason the tickets printed out fine, but these directions only want to print in color, and for some reason I can’t copy and paste from there website.. So I try a few more things.. Before I know it its an hour after I wanted to be on the road and I am writing the directions down by hand.

So on the way, we stop at Sonic to get our lunch, and a shake and then hit the road again. Its now 1:00 and the game starts at 1:30, and I still have about 70 miles till philly.. Whoops,, bad timing. So we get to the game at the end of the 3rd, and found our way to our seats. By the time we got there, I think it was the bottom the 4th. Once again, Whoops and a quick Sorry Carrie. So we start watching.. The Braves are down, and its not looking good.. Then in the 9th it got Real… The braves came back and were winning.. Then philly scored a few and ended up winning the game… And Just when you think my horrible baseball talk can’t get any worse,,,, You guessed it,,, It was a Double Header :)

The next game was pretty boring.. Come the 9th I think it was tied 1-1 and went all the way to the 11th inning.. The braves won,, no idea on what the score was though..

So on to the next stop.. 9th St in South philly for some Real cheese steaks.. The kind with “wiz” on them. We decided that on this trip we would Try Geno’s. Now I have had about 1000 cheese steaks in my day, and usually they need a lil extra spice on them, so I got some hot sauce from the concession stand. Thinking this would be like your run of the mill over the counter sauce, I put a little bit on my sandwich. Boy was this a mistake. The hot sauce was so hot I thought that my taste buds were melting.  I ended up eating 3/4 of it and stopping because the pain was too much for me. After that, I worked on Chrissy’s leftovers and was more then content. Very very good Cheesesteak and I will visit there again. On my next trip I think I will try Pat’s

After this, the drive home was uneventful. Non-stop through to York.

One helluva Weekend

Filed under: Only to me — penguinwise @ 1:47 pm

Where to even begin this weekend. So much happened its hard to even summarize.. The attendee list for the weekend was Chrissy, Carrie(Friend from Ohio), and Me. Lets start With Saturday…
Woke up late,, like 9:30, ate some homemade French Toast thanks to my Wonderful and Loving girlfriend Chrissy. It was a rainy ugly day. Since the forcasters said it would get nice later, we took there word and headed for Gettysburg. We stopped at the Farnsworth house Gift/Book shop and picked up one of those Civil War Tours via CD. Went out and drove all over the battle fields, and all over town. After we were done with that we went to the Dobbin House to eat.  First matters first,, a year ago Chrissy and I first started dating, and one of our first dates was to Gettysburg, and cooincidently we ate at the Dobbin House in the tavern. So to keep things legit, we went in, and Fortunately the same seats were open at the bar where we ate last time. I believe the same bar wench (Don’t give me any politically correct crap, thats what the menu called them)  was working as well,, although the first time I think she had more personality then a wet paper bag.. But thats besides the point. The food was wonderful,, although I became Mr Food Indecisive Guy when it came to ordering. Even after I ordered, someone across the way got the 1/2 a chicken,, and I drooled and wined about not getting it myself… So carrying on. Carrie and I each polished off two drinks, one of them being there specialty Rum drink that seemed to have everything under the sun in it. After that we had somewhat of a buzz kicking up and went back on the town. We found a lilttle souvenier stoor that sold hot sauce, and an interesting selection of Hats. I think we killed at least an hour in this store trying on Hats, and me buying 2 things of Hot sauce. Carrie ended up buying a hat.  I really liked this Indiana Jones style hat they had there,, but I could not possibly part with 50$ for a hat. I am Cheap.

Carrying on. We decided to go for a Ghost walk. The first place we stopped at had a Battle Field walk that started at 8:00. So we rushed out to where the lady told us to go, but could not find the walk.. It was a giant waste of at least a half hour of drinking time.. So when we got back to town we went back to the same women and told her there was no sign out on the road she sent us on.. Judging by the look on the womens face you would have though I spit in her face.. She was pissed and surprised, and everything in between..Moving forward we bought the 9:30 tickets for the In town walk. So to make matters better, we had about an hour and 10 minutes to kill. Instead of doing the normal thing and walking through some more stores and just killing time, Carrie and I decided to drink as much as we could in that time alottment. To make matters easier, there was a bar across the street with a live band going.  We decided that Vodka would probably make our efforts all the more worthwhile so we started drinking martinis.  3 Martini’s later without standing up we left for the ghost walk… Keep in mind this just re-ignited the two drinks we had earlier as well… So then we went on the Ghost walk with a guide named “Ed” who was a starving artist. I don’t really remember to much about the beginning of the walk besides making an ass of myself in front of the group because there was some stupid girl next to me asking “Ed” stupid questions. I just remember someone saying something about tripping, limping and her asking why that would hold the group up, so I had to demonstrate what someone with a gimpy leg taking the tour would look like… This entire section of the walk is kinda a blur so maybe Chrissy (the sober one out of the 3 of us) can lend some insight on what happened.. After that I at least remember what was going on.

This was a very boring walk… The Guy giving the tour did as well as he could, but I really can’t see how you can have a ghost walk through the area’s we saw. At least the first walk I went on took you into the Farnsworth House and you had a possible chance of hearing something.. Here it was just city streets and Supposive stories. Oh well.. Carrie and I laughed our way through most of the tour till we got to one of the last stops where “Ed” Told us a story about a friend of his,, some parking tickets, a Confederate Soldier in his back seat.. I dunno,, I was not really paying attention.. My alcohol was wearing off fast.

The reason I keep quoting “Ed” is I don’t remember if that was his name or not.

Gander Mountain

Filed under: Only to me — penguinwise @ 2:44 pm

On Sunday afternoon I decided to pay a visit to the local Gander Mountain to look at there Guns and bows. I really like looking through Gander Mountain because they have a nice rifle selection and also handguns, bows, fishing stuff. Its like Bass Pro Shop or Cabelas but smaller and 10 minutes from home.

So anyway, I was walking around looking at everything, even though I needed nothing. While walking through the Hunting Boots section, one of the associates or managers came up to me and said, ” I see you are shopping at Gander Mountain today, and unfortunately you are wearing a Bass Pro Shops Hat”. Now a little backround on this hat,, I got it for $2.95, it was a Mesh plastic trucker hat that had paint, motor oil, and enough sweat to have dehydrated 10 men through it…. So back to the point… After the store associate said this to me, I looked blankly at him and said the first thing that came to mind.. “Sorry”. He then asked me if I wanted to “fix the situation” and motioned to follow him to get a new hat. I took off my hat and looked at it and thought,,, Well I could use a new hat. Instead of walking up to the front to where the bargain bin crap is, he led me over through the hunting stuff and stopped in front of there nice 20+$ hats and told me to pick one… So in my rush to decide what hat to get before this guy changed his mind, I grabbed one and said,, “This looks nice”. The associate reached over, grabbed the tag and ripped it off, walked away saying “Thanks for shopping at Gander Mountain today”. I stood there in kinda a shocked way.

I didn’t buy anything at Gander Mountain,, but I have a new hat with there name on it.
